In preparation for a match that will no doubt make history in PWF, The lead commentators of PWF Northeast and PWF Universal, Caleb Seltzer and Bryan Riegel have both written articles about their connections to the companies in regards to the men representing and carrying the championship titles for the respective chapters of PWF. This past Saturday night, October 6th was a night of chills, thrills, and surprising returns as PWF Northeast Pro Wrestling presented "The 2012 Toxic Waltz". The shocking return of "Handsome" Johnny Hayes was followed by his denouncing of that name and adopting his birthname Todd Hanson, stating he is now a "Brand New Bad". That "Brand New Bad" made quite the statement when he was invited to be an alternate in the Toxic Waltz, pinning Biff Busick, Vinny Marseglia, and finally Jason Blade to win the match and become the only man to win 2 Toxic Waltzes! Todd Hanson now lays claim to the PWF Unified title main event at Genesis 12. That same night was also a night of surprises. The Asylum of Mistress Belmont and SKAB defeated the Fabulous Baker Boys and The Bi-Polar Express to win the PWF Northeast Tag Team Championships when a large masked man with a chainsaw interferred on their behalf.The RKO Army present an intermission performance of "Thriller" that got a standing ovation from the Providence faithful. Big news also stemming from the event, Gino Giovanni, Spokesman for the Championship Committee, signed a huge match for the November 3rd return to Davey Lopes. "The Juice' JT Dunn wil take on his rival "PWF Northeast O.G." Triplelicious in a "Davey Lopes Lockedown" Match... in other words, the two men square off in a 15 foot high steel cage. One man walks out the winner of this long-running rivalry.
November 3, 2012: "The Brand New Bad" Todd Hanson walked into the Davey Lopes Arena one month fresh from his return after a year-long layoff due to shoulder surgery. He walked out ten pounds heavier. On the cold Saturday night, Hanson beat the odds pinning then-champ "Latin Braveheart" Ryan Bisbal in a three-way match including Jason Blade to capture the PWF Unified Heavyweight Championship. Later that evening, PWF Northeast Championship Committee Spokesman Gino Giovanni revealed that Hanson's guaranteed Genesis 12 Title Shot would then shift to Jason Blade, the man in the three-way match who was not pinned and the runner-up in the 2012 Toxic Waltz. Three months ago, no one could have predicted this occurring. Todd Hanson was not even on the active PWF Northeast Roster. This also vaults the "Brand New Bad" into a position he is quite familiar with... the hunted. The talent level in PWF Northeast has skyrocketed over the past 14 months. With top contenders in Ryan Bisbal, Jason Blade, and "The Real Deal" Brandon Locke, any champion would have their hands full. In PWF Northeast, the talent doesn't stop there. The current Lightning Cup Champion "The Manliest Man" Biff Busick is no stranger to Hanson and would love to add more gold to his resume. "Punisher" Don Vega is always a threat to any champion. Rumors of Our Demise are Greatly Exaggerated!
4/20/13: Hello PWF Northeast Army! We wanted to post some news considering we have been relatively silent over the past days and weeks. The events will be resuming very shortly. We were dealing with administrative issues with our home at Davey Lopes Recreation Center. We have been searching for a an alternate venue that would keep us within a reasonable distance for our very strong and loyal following who often walk to our shows from the Providence Community. Announcements will come soon and we'll be back in action. We also have been announced as one of the top sponsors for the New England Fan Fest coming June 22 in Fairhaven, MA. You can meet some all time greats and PWF Northeast will be presenting former WWE Tag Team Champions The Spirit Squad Kenny Doane & Mikey Mondo!
